EASTWOOD

Subdivision in Eastwood occurred as early as 1906 when it was part of the Village of North Edmonton until amalgamation with Edmonton in 1912.  Development was quite slow for years; however by the 1950s most of the original development was finished.

With redevelopment occurring within the last several decades the most common type of dwelling in Eastwood is now the low rise apartment, which is why the area is mostly renter occupied.

The geographical boundaries of this community are:

  • NORTH: 122 AVE / 125 AVE
  • SOUTH: 118 AVE
  • EAST: LRT Line / 75 ST / 82 ST/ Fort RD
  • WEST: 89 ST / 86 ST

City Councillor: Tony Caterina
