Queen Mary Park’s History

Queen Mary Park sits within the old Hudson’s Bay Company Reserve. The area remained empty until the 1950s, and most of the homes in Queen Mary Park were built between 1950 and 1980.

The neighbourhood is named after Mary of Teck, wife of George V, the King of England and the Commonwealth from 1910 to 1936.

Queen Mary Park Today

Queen Mary Park is a mature inner city neighbourhood taking on new life. Close to MacEwan University, Oliver Square, 124 Street, downtown and the new Brewery District. It’s mobile, accessible and diverse -- everything you could want in a central urban neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood is roughly equal parts single detached houses and low rise apartments, with a concentration of apartments north and south of the 107 Avenue commercial area.
