Allard is a mix of housing options, with low-density, single-family housing making up over half of residential land usage. Medium density (low rise apartments, denser housing, and row houses) makes up an additional 35%, while high density units make up the remaining 13%. Read more...

Allard’s History
Allard was established in 2007 with the adoption of its Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan. (NASP), and construction began a few years later in 2010. Construction was substantially finished by 2017, though some lots may remain.
As a part of the Heritage Valley area, Allard’s name comes from the theme of “Edmontonians of the Century.” It was named after Dr. Charles Allard, an Edmonton-born surgeon and philanthropist. Dr. Allard was also an entrepreneur, and was one of the early owners of the Edmonton Oilers.
Allard Today
As of 2018 construction in Allard is largely complete, the school is open, and things are really beginning to take shape. Close access to James Mowatt Trail and 41 Avenue means getting to Anthony Henday Drive and Highway 2 is a breeze. This allows for mobility to areas surrounding Edmonton. If you’re a world traveller, basically no other neighbourhood gives you as close of access to The Edmonton International Airport as well.
With Blackmud Creek along its east boundary and a large neighbourhoood park on its west side, Allard is designed with walkability and recreation in mind. This is a well-planned community with plenty of upside. If you’re looking for homes and condos for sale in southwest Edmonton, look no further than Allard.
