Carlisle is a mature north Edmonton neighbourhood with plenty to offer. Quiet streets give way to accessible main roads, meaning Carlisle is a great choice for working families. With a mix of architectural styles and plenty of character, Carlisle is one of north Edmonton’s premiere mature neighbourhoods.

Neighbourhood Facts

Carlisle was developed on land annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1971. The vast majority of the neighbourhood was built in the 1970s and 1980s, with a little bit more leading into the 2000s.

Carlisle is bounded on the east by Castledowns Road, on the south by 137 Street and on the north by 145 Avenue. The west boundary follows a line located roughly between 121 and 123 Street.

Lago Lindo is the cornerstone of the Lake District area in northeast Edmonton. It is now considered an established neighbourhood, amidst a sea of recent development in the area. This gives Lago Lindo a mature feel, but access to newer services. With the recently-completed Anthony Henday Drive north leg so close, Lago Lindo has become a neighbourhood that boasts excellent access to the east and west sides of Edmonton, in addition to its already easy access to CFB Edmonton and downtown.

The northern half of Whitemud Creek Ravine is found right in Magrath Heights.

Magrath Heights is a neighbourhood located in southwest Edmonton that began developing  in the early to mid 2000’s, once the City adopted the Magrath Heights Neighborhood Area Structure Plan in 2003. It is a unique neighbourhood with an active community. With the Whitemud Creek Ravine next door, you truly don’t have to go far to feel the calming effects of nature.
