Many of the houses in Boyle Street were redeveloped in the 1970s as the city cleared out old properties (many larger old building still remain, however). In fact, over half the private dwellings in Boyle Street were constructed during the 1970s and 80s. Check out Boyle Street condos for sale below, and more. Read more...

Boyle Street’s history
Boyle Street is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in town. Its grid-style streets can be seen in initial planning documents for the city, which date back to 1892. Boyle Street was a major commercial hub in early Edmonton, as the city expanded eastward first. The Boyle Street Community League was established in 1946 and continues to serve the area to this day.
Boyle Street today
Today, Boyle Street is an area in transition. It is an ethnically-diverse neighbourhood, with plenty of cultural centres, churches, and more. The Quarters Redevelopment Plan has saw new life injected into 96 Street, and the new Hyatt Place Downtown hotel is an example of the big future plans for the area. The neighbourhood will be home to the Quarters LRT station as well, as Edmonton’s new Valley Line system takes shape.
Modern condominiums, townhome complexes, and redeveloped properties are plentiful in Boyle Street. If you’re looking for a fresh take on city living, Boyle Street might be the place to call home.
