Charlesworth’s History
According to the Charlesworth Neighbourhood Structure Plan (NSP), the majority of the land use was agricultural in 2005, prior to the neighbourhood’s development. This included farm houses and residences, which were all either removed or integrated into the community. The NSP also outlined three major priorities: create a transit-oriented development, promote walkability, and maximize urban design. The builders aimed to establish a vibrant, sustainable, and innovative community with health and green-living at the forefront of planning.
Charlesworth Today
Charlesworth is turning into a great community; one that has truly followed its own guidelines of being sustainable, innovative, and health conscious. One of the ideas behind Charlesworth and it’s multi-density housing, meaning that someone can buy their first home, and later on move into new housing types as their family needs change, all while living on the same street. Join the fun in Charlesworth!
