Clareview Campus is bordered by 144 Avenue to the north, 36 Street to the east, 137 Avenue to the south and Manning Drive to the west, which offers quick access to Fort Saskatchewan and Yellowhead Trail. The North Saskatchewan River and river valley park areas are just a short drive away.
More than three quarters of Clareview Campus residents are under 40, and the neighbourhood offers a mix of single family homes and multi-unit residences to meet the needs of this diverse demographic. Clareview Campus History
Clareview Campus and Beverly were annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1961. In 1972, City Council adopted the Clareview Outline Plan, which guided development in the area. While a few residences were built in the 1970s, almost all residential development in the Clareview Campus neighbourhood took place in the 1990s.
Clareview Campus Today
Clareview Campus is a modern, transit-oriented neighbourhood. About a third of working Clareview residents use transit to commute, more than double the city-wide average. Clareview Town Centre offers a wide selection of stores, restaurants and amenities, all a short walk from Clareview Transit Centre, which offers park and ride facilities and bus service to neighbourhoods throughout northeast Edmonton.
The Clareview Recreation Centre is a community meeting place, boasting outdoor sports fields, park spaces, a skate park and walking trails, as well as an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, arena, spaces for arts and cultural programming, a library, babysitting services and an indoor playground. It’s also the home of the Clareview Multicultural Centre, which provides meeting spaces for multicultural communities in the neighbourhood.
