Delwood Neighbourhood Facts

Interior streets follow a modified grid pattern oriented around small pocket parks and a larger park/school site along Delwood Road. The schools are centrally located, and commercial land uses are situated at the corners of the neighbourhood.

This neighbourhood has existed since the early 1900s and was likely named in honour of Edward Delegare “Del” Grierson, a prominent land owner and politician. Delwood replaced the old subdivision names of Industrial Centre, Queen’s Park and East Delton.
