Eaux Claires History

The Neighbourhood Structure Plan for the Eaux Claires was adopted by Edmonton City Council in 1983.The neighbourhood design objectives outlined in the plan included creating a safe, quiet, residential neighbourhood and providing residents with access to a variety of housing types and local amenities, including non-residential land uses.

Eaux Claires Today

Eaux Claires boasts a large variety of housing options, and excellent access to amenities along 97 Street. This includes No Frills, Lowes, Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart, and several banks.

Eaux Claires shares a community league with Evansdale and Belle Rive. It also features a large public transit terminal, providing quick connections to other major centres and downtown. While no school has been built in Eaux Claires, a playground opened in 2015 and has been consistently rated one of the finest in the city.
