Parkdale’s History
Parkdale has long been within the City of Edmonton’s boundaries. The land for the neighbourhood was annexed in 1904, just 11 years after the Town of Edmonton was founded. Four in ten residences in Parkdale were constructed prior to World War II, with another third being completed between then and 1960.

Not only does the community league offer a number of programs such as a community rink, free yoga and meditation classes, and a community garden club, it maintains an active website to keep residents informed on issues in the area.
